SERIES: Birdsong

Hello!

The topic for today is Birdsong, a 2012 BBC mini-series of two episodes. This drama is based on a 1993 novel with the same title, written by Sebastian Faulks. We loved the role of Eddie Redmayne in The pillars of the earth so we couldn't wait to see him again on TV. 

Stephen Wraysford is a lieutenant serving in the First World War. While he is fighting for his life, we witness his past memories from a french woman named Isabelle (played by french actress Clémence Poésy) that marked his life forever.

We absolutely recommend this series to you not only because it talks about a love story, but also because it is a great portrait of the soldiers' life in the front line.
